I used this with a group this afternoon, including one person who is deaf, she pointed out that she cannot lip read from the screen because there is no contrast (it is all too dark) and no subtitles. Are you intending to subtitle other videos or produce a text sheet for such people. If not you are not assisting deaf people to access the material.

Thank you for the early warning feedback, I will see if I can find a willing volunteer, otherwise I will do it myself, but it’ll be a little slower to appear. Apologies for that.

Thank you, the important videos will be those for the housegroups and there is still a bit of time for those to either be subtitled or a transcript produced. I don’t know whether Tom Wright used a script which could be published alongside the video.

Tom Wright, amazingly, had a few notes, and spoke without a script – he’s an amazing speaker! I have now discovered http://googleblog.blogspot.com/2009/11/automatic-captions-in-youtube.html so I will have a go with that towards the end of the weekend.
