Today we meet Anders Orsander, who has been blogging for The Big Bible Project since October 2011
Who are you? What’s your role in life? What’s your personal ‘story’ to date?
I’m a Swedish social media enthusiast, working as an Information Officer in the Church of Sweden. My online activities have affected my whole life, the work I have, that I met my wife on Facebook and that I have a second home on the Philippines.
What made you interested in becoming a #digidisciple for Big Bible? What do you feel you’ve gained?
As a Swede I find it mutually beneficial to participate in this mostly British blog. I get a lot of inspiration, and in return I hope my Swedish perspective adds something to the Big Bible.
What are your particular area(s) of interest that you are most likely to blog about for Big Bible?
Online Christianity and Online presence
What else might we find out about you if we followed your other areas of ‘online presence’?
My online English life is lived on:
- My website (http://anders.orsander.se) – More of my posts
- Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/anders.orsander) – My online livingroom
- Twitter (http://twitter.com/andersorsander) – The social media pub
- Sunny side up (http://sunny.orsander.se) – Where my photo interest captures my wife’s cooking
- … Swedish stuff on request

As we engage with the Bible, how do you think the (stories in the) Bible can inform what we do online, in whatever sense?
The Bible is essentially about our human lives, and it’s basically the same although we have other gadgets today. The Bible is still very relevant whether we’re online or offline.
Finally, what’s verse would you send us out with today?
Colossians 1:28 “He is the one we proclaim, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ.”
