Using the new Facebook Year in Review feature for prayer by @vahva

This week Facebook launched a new ‘year in review’ feature. I wrote about using the Facebook Timeline, when it was launched last year, as a tool for the practice of the examen from Ignatian Spirituality.

This new feature should appear at the top of your Facebook timeline and it summarises your key photos and events and status updates from the last year. Click here to view your year in review.

Sometimes it’s easy to move very quickly from year to year without stopping to think and reflect. See this new Facebook feature as a gift to you to enable you to pause and look back and see what God has been doing in your life in 2012. Give thanks for those things that have given you life and bring to Jesus those things that have been hard or painful.

In addition to letting you see the highlights from your own Facebook account, they have also provided a summary of the trends on Facebook around the world this year. You can view the trends from 2012 in the UK here: http://www.facebookstories.com/stories/3893/uk-trends

This can also be a stimulus for prayer, and for church leaders perhaps a great help in sermon preparation!
